This month's presentation of the AIA|LA Committee on Architecture in Healthcare will feature the new 750,000 SF Anaheim Medical Center replacement hospital.

Learn how this new facility is leading a renaissance of its light-industrial neighborhood with a master plan inwardly focused upon a “healing garden”. The new hospital crystallizes a destination point that links the property to future retail and residential developments and to the Anaheim Canyon Metro link station.

Learn how this template hospital followed the standards established by Kaiser Permanente for developing new medical facilities. Also, how this project was developed in tandem with two other acute care template hospitals that shared documentation resources across a BIM platform.

Attendees will also benefit from seeing tools, techniques, and behaviors that both designers and contractors are experimenting with, and their produced outcomes.

Presentation will comprise of two speakers:

  • Kaiser Permanente – Joe Stasney, Project Director
  • Cannon Design – Kevin Spady, Principal

Moderator: Carlos Amato, Cannon Design, Principal
